The locals are friendly and will readily show you their work or the products that they create in these streets; you might even see children playing on the balconies. This is an opportunity to learn about local industries, such as metalwork, pottery, textiles, the local recycling process, and more.

There's even a glimpse into the thriving papad industry, as the locals of Dharavi create these delicious, crispy discs. Afterward, you head to Mahim West Station and board a train that takes you to Dhobi Ghat.

This open-air laundromat is famous not just within India, but all over the world. Rows and rows of wash pads await you, and locals work hard to do laundry here, washing clothes and linens from hospitals and hotels.
