From the Spanish Square to the Old Bridge: Mostar Free Tour

Along the way, we'll discover the stories behind the places, not just dates and monuments.

We’ll explore the fascinating connection between Spain and Mostar, including the story of the Spanish soldiers who served here during and after the war. We’ll then move through the Austro-Hungarian part of the city and learn how a completely different empire transformed Mostar.

From there, we'll confront one of the most difficult chapters in the city's history: the war and the destruction of Mostar. But rather than looking only at military events and dates, we'll talk about how ordinary people experienced the conflict — and how people in Mostar live with its legacy today.

Finally, we'll enter the atmospheric Ottoman Old Town, discovering traditional houses, mosques, bazaars, Bosnian coffee and everyday life before arriving at the symbol of the city: Stari Most.
