Overview
We begin our tour in the Plaza Matriz, in the Old City, where we will unveil the origins of Montevideo and the stories that its walls hold since colonial times. We will visit historical landmarks such as the Cathedral of Montevideo, the Cabildo, the Gate of the Citadel and the majestic Solis Theater.
We will stroll along the Sarandí pedestrian street, where history meets modernity, and arrive at Plaza Independencia to discover Montevideo's transition from a fortified city to a vibrant metropolis.
But the experience does not end there: in true local style, we will take a bus to the famous Rambla de Pocitos.
Here you can enjoy spectacular views, capture amazing photos and if you wish, relax on Pocitos beach.

On arrival
The meeting point is at the Cabildo of Montevideo, in the Plaza Matriz (or Plaza Constitución), in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral in the heart of the Old City.
Things to note
I recommend comfortable shoes, sun hat and sunscreen.
Also beach gear, so you can take a dip in the sea if you wish.
The tour through the historical part of the city is about 7 or 8 blocks with good accessibility.
In Montevideo we also have accessible public transportation and accessibility in the access to Pocitos Beach.
