Walk in the Milan Center and Learn a Bit of History

Ciao! My name is Franco, I am passionate about history, and I happen to call this town home. I invite you to join me on this walking tour through downtown Milan, starting from the historical Piazza dei Mercanti. I will describe and show on my tablet a brief history and curiosities of the sites. Depending on the group's pace, we will cover 9 landmarks. The tour will finish at Castello Sforzesco.

The sites we will be covering are: Piazza dei Mercanti (meeting point), Duomo, Teatro della Scala, Gallerie Vittoria Emanuele II, Santuario di San Bernardino alle Ossa, Academia Ambrosiana, Borsa Italiana and Castello Sforzesco (end of tour).

One of the major stops will be at the Duomo, where I will explain some of the outside statues and also the ones inside that you will see when you take your own tour.

Also, I will share some curiosities about the brilliant Italian mind of Leonardo da Vinci, whose special connection to Milan is known to few, and the importance of his masterpieces for the city of Milan.

You may choose to see these sites inside and tour on your own, subsequent to this tour.
