Private Tour in Torre Faro, Messina & Delicious Granita Tasting
Overview
We will start our walking tour at Lago Piccolo, the smallest of the two Ganzirri lakes, a natural reserve, in a stunning scenery, famous for its rich ecosystem and marine biodiversity.
We will then see the historic lighthouse that gives the district its name and admire the breathtaking view from Cape Peloro's beach.
I will also show you the 'British tower', part of the ancient fortifications of Messina.
The tour includes a tasting of the delicious granita and brioche: a fresh, sweet Sicilian specialty, perfect for the summer!
I will tell you the story of this famous Sicilian dessert!

On arrival
You will find me outside the Arena cafè, beside the small lake of Ganzirri.
I will be holding the Sicilian red & yellow flag.
The meeting point can be easily reached by the shuttle bus N.100 from the central station, or other bus stops in Messina centre.
Bus numbers 31 and 24 also go there from the city centre.
Alternatively, by taxi from the harbour of Messina or the main squares in the city centre.
Things to note
On hot days, it is strongly recommended to wear a hat, apply sunblock, and carry a bottle of water with you.
Due to sometimes uneven or rough ground or sand, the tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or those in wheelchairs.
