Overview

Melbourne is a city full of things to see — if you know where to look.

On this thoughtful guided walk, discover landmarks, laneways, art and architecture while uncovering the stories and visual details that shape the city’s character. This tour is about noticing, curiosity, and understanding how Marvellous Melbourne came to look and feel the way it does. It’s for curious types and story lovers — those who want to see the icons, and what lies beyond them.

Come for a walk and see Melbourne a little differently.

> Meet under the clocks: Melbourne’s most iconic meeting spot at Flinders and Swanston Streets.
> Boom, bust & gothic drama: At St Paul’s precinct, explore early ambition, faith, architecture and the optimism of a growing city.
> Laneways & reinvention: Discover how forgotten service lanes became creative arteries.
> Marvellous Melbourne: Uncover the opulence and confidence of the gold rush boom era.
> Knowledge & notoriety: In the State Library, we unpack education, democracy, architecture, and a certain bushranger’s armour.
> Industry & adaptation: Trace Melbourne’s industrial past and its talent for reinvention, from factory to green oasis.
