Upon arrival, meet your licensed local guide and begin a 2-hour walking tour through the historic districts. Learn how the trulli were built, why they were designed this way, and how life once unfolded inside these unique stone dwellings. You will see the exterior of Trullo Sovrano, the Basilica of Saints Cosmas and Damian, Casa D’Amore, the Belvedere of Santa Lucia, and the authentic Rione Aia Piccola, before ending in the lively Rione Monti near the Trullo Church of Saint Anthony.
After the guided visit, enjoy approximately four hours of free time. Wander among artisan shops, take panoramic photos, enjoy lunch or an aperitivo, and experience Alberobello at your own rhythm before returning comfortably to Matera in the afternoon.

Meeting point in Matera is next to the Castello Tramontano (in front of Al Castello Caffetteria Lounge Bar). Upon arrival, please look for the shuttle bus with the “Day Trip” sign.
