Overview
We offer the real insider tips. The tour leads from the Old University through small alleyways to the market square with the old town hall. On the way to the Lutheran parish church, you can experience the real charm of the upper town and enjoy your first view of Marburg. From the parish church, we climb the Schlossberg. On the other side of the hill, we end at St. Elisabeth's Church.
Of course, depending on the composition of the group, we will take one or two detours: either past the most popular student pubs, the best little shops for woodwork, leather, etc., or past huge villas built on the hillside, showing another side of Marburg alongside the half-timbered houses of the upper town.
The walking tour takes about 60 minutes and is offered by Marburg students.
During the evening tour, you have a view of the illuminated city from the castle, which meanders along the Lahn, and if you wish, we can stop by our favorite pub together for a rusty nail - the alcoholic cult drink (schnapps) of Marburg - everyone who visits the city must have tried it.
