In our tours we talk about two different periods of Manchester's history: the industrial era, and the post-industrial 'Mad-chester' era. We take in the big attractions (Town Hall, Royal Exchange and Free Trade Hall) as well as the lesser-known quirks (Vimto Monument, Underground Manchester and Factory Records).

Hello! My name's Josh. I'm from Manchester, went to the University of Manchester and I founded Free Manchester Walking Tours three years ago. I love this city, and take pride in sharing its unique story with visitors and Mancunians alike. As well as a tour guide, I'm a playwright, having recently been awarded a commendation by the Bruntwood Prize for playwriting. I've invited a fantastic team of like-minded storytellers to join the team, all of whom are also passionate about this city and what it has to offer.
