Overview of the tour in Luxor

Ancient Egypt Tours representative will pick you up you from your hotel in Luxor to start your tour to The Medenit Habu, on the Nile west of Luxor. The Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III at Medinet Habu is an important New Kingdom period structure in the West Bank of Luxor in Egypt. Aside from its size and architectural and artistic importance, the temple is probably best known as the source of inscribed reliefs depicting the advent and defeat of the Sea Peoples during the reign of Ramesses III. Proceed to the Funerary Temple of Ramses II, erected on the west bank of the Nile River at Thebes in Upper Egypt. The temple, famous for its 57-foot seated statue of Ramses II, was dedicated to the god Amon and the deceased king. The walls of the Ramesseum, which is only about half preserved, are decorated with reliefs, including scenes depicting the Battle of Kadesh, the Syrian wars, and the Festival of Min. ”
