Overview
This area is located on the east side of the Nile River, and these two temples are among the most complete from the Golden Era of the ancient Egyptian Empire. Karnak Temple is a complex of temples, with the oldest excavations dating back to the Middle Kingdom of Egypt, around 2250 BC. The Temple of Luxor dates back to the 18th Dynasty of Egypt, around 1500 BC.
