IMPORTANT: The statue of Charles I is located in the center of the small traffic circle behind Nelson's Column, on the opposite side of the National Gallery, in the southern part of the square, facing Whitehall and in the direction of Big Ben (Elizabeth Tower). Be careful not to get confused with the statue of George IV near the fountains and the National Gallery
