Overview
Walk through the historic centre and discover Congress Square, Prešeren Square, the Triple Bridge, Central Market, St Nicholas’ Cathedral and the Dragon Bridge. Along the way, Roman Emona, architecture and moments from Ljubljana’s past come alive through engaging stories, unexpected details and local anecdotes—without heavy lectures or endless lists of dates.
But this is more than a history tour. We will talk about Slovenian character and customs, food and culinary traditions, work, economy, and the country’s close relationship with nature. You will also receive tips on traditional dishes, drinks, restaurants and places worth exploring after the tour.
Expect a relaxed, interactive experience where questions are always welcome. The route is easy, flat, family-friendly, accessible to people with reduced mobility and suitable for pushchairs. Well-behaved four-legged travellers are welcome.
