Overview
As a suggestion, we start our day in Setúbal by walking along Luisa Todi Avenue, the most important avenue in the City. Then, we visit the Livramento Market and São Filipe Fortress, a fortification located in Setúbal that has been classified as a national monument since 1933. It is situated in the Arrábida Natural Park. It occupies a dominant position on a hill, overlooking the city of Setúbal, the mouth of the Sado River, and the Atlantic Ocean.
Passing through the Arrábida Hills, with its famous beaches, we head towards Azeitão, known for its artisanal cheese, regional confectionery, and pottery (tiles).
We will also stop in Palmela to visit the Fort of Palmela, classified as a National Monument since 1910, and which will provide us with a fantastic view over the region.
