Overview

Baixa & Chiado Free Walking Tour – The Heart of Lisbon

Join me, Hamed,Your Lisbon Explorer, on a journey through Lisbon’s most elegant and historic neighborhoods — Baixa and Chiado.
We’ll start at the majestic Praça do Comércio, once home to the royal palace, and follow Rua Augusta through the rebuilt downtown that rose from the 1755 earthquake.

Discover the stories behind Rossio Square, São Domingos Church, and Restauradores Square, celebrating Portugal’s independence from Spain. We’ll also see the beautiful Rossio Train Station, a gem of Neo-Manueline architecture.

Then we climb to Carmo Convent, where the 1974 Carnation Revolution began — the peaceful movement that changed Portugal forever.
Our final stop is Chiado, Lisbon’s artistic heart, where you’ll meet the poet Fernando Pessoa and feel the city’s creative soul at Luís de Camões Square.

Throughout the walk, I’ll share legends, history, and local secrets — not just facts, but the living stories that make Lisbon unforgettable.
This tour is the perfect mix of culture, humor, and discovery — come walk through Lisbon’s heart with
