Street Food Free Tour & Central Market Experience of Lima
Overview
We’ll begin at one of Barrios Altos oldest bars. Here, you’ll sip on a local aperitif while soaking in the authentic atmosphere. From there, we’ll venture to the renowned Central Market, where we’ll wander through its vibrant antique and food stalls. You’ll discover the market’s cultural significance and sample local favorites like ceviches, anticuchos, and pashion fruit chocolate.
As we walk, you’ll learn about the neighborhood’s transformation over time—from its colonial roots to its popular charm today. Along the way, we’ll stop at iconic landmarks and hidden gems, each with its own unique story. We’ll visit a classic "almacén," a neighborhood grocery store turned restaurant, where locals have gathered for generations to enjoy authentic meals.
This activity includes:
- Frutas Mercado Mayorista Santa Anita
- Mercado 1 de Surquillo
