Overview
We will start our walking tour in the Plaza de Barranco, an old connection point between Lima and Chorrillos when the streetcars used to run through its streets. Today, this space is considered the heart of the district, surrounded by colonial architecture, traditional cafes and art galleries.
Next, we will visit the Ermita de Barranco, an 18th century church built by fishermen. This temple, wrapped in legends and miracles, managed to survive the Pacific War, becoming a symbol of faith and tradition.
Later, we will walk to the iconic Bridge of Sighs, built in 1877. Tradition has it that if you cross it for the first time without breathing while making a wish, it will come true. Next, we will immerse ourselves in the urban art of Barranco, exploring murals and graffiti created by artists such as Jade Rivera, Entes and Pesimo. Next, we will descend the picturesque Bajada de Baños, an ancient path used by fishermen to reach the sea. Today it is a walk full of bougainvillea, ficus and historic mansions that evoke the Barranco of yesteryear.
Finally, we will close the experience at the Mirador de Barranco.
