My name is Stefan and I will guide you through the marvelous city of Leiden, one of the greatest cities in the Netherlands. But how has it become so pretty? Where are the hidden secrets you should visit? And what are the greatest stories this city has to offer? I will tell you all about it in a two-hour walk, available in Dutch as well as in English. You will learn everything about the city's history, food, and language.

As a historian and a teacher myself, you can trust me to make the best out of these two hours, where you will learn a lot in a fun and engaging way! The time will fly away and in the end, you still have only seen a small piece of the city. That's why I will also give tips for further exploration.

You can find me on the Beestenmarkt, near the water, in front of the 'Rondvaart' company. You can recognise me by my green/blue backpack.

Things to note

Of course, the tour is for free and it is up to you to decide at the end if you found it worth something. I am having fun doing this so do not feel forced to pay up, only tip me if you had a great time.

Also: rain, sun or snow, we will go. Bring your umbrella and let the city amaze you, even in traditional Dutch weather. Besides, the snowy streets of Leiden once made me feel in love with the city.
