Overview
What we will eat:
- Salteñas: We’ll start the tour with iconic salteñas, juicy, meat-filled pastries. (A vegetarian option is available.)
- Relleno de Papa: A delicious potato ball stuffed with meat and spices.
Have you watched the Netflix Street Food series? We’ll visit the famous lady featured in it!
- Tumbo Juice: A refreshing drink made from a native Andean fruit.
Then, we’ll take the cable car to El Alto, where we'll try:
- Peanut pasta "soup": It’s not actually a soup! It’s fried pasta with peanuts, sometimes topped with beef or eggs.
Next, we’ll walk through a local market where you'll see a variety of organic products. Afterward, we’ll return to La Paz and end the tour with a cinnamon ice cream near San Pedro Prison.
Please note:
- The average price for food and transport is 60 Bs (8€).
- Please bring cash, as we will pay individual bills.
Important Note:
We do not have formal agreements with the vendors featured in the tour. The food and products are selected based on their quality and authenticity.
If you haven’t tried street food in South America yet, rest assured, these are safe, clean places. However, the spices may be new for your stomach!
