Overview
Get ready for an unforgettable walk through one of the most magical places in Galicia This tour takes you through the Sculpture Park of the Tower of Hercules, where Atlantic nature, contemporary art and the historical memory of a Celtic past merge. We start in front of the sculpture of King Breogán, a key figure of the Galician Celtic tradition. From there, we will delve into the history of this mythical leader and his connection to the legendary origins of Ireland and Galicia. Our tour continues to the oldest lighthouse in the world still in operation: the Tower of Hercules, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
We will explain its Roman origins, its strategic importance and the legends surrounding it. Afterwards, we will explore the Sculpture Park, an open-air jewel with works such as the Figure of Charon, the Menhirs, the modern Petroglyphs or the enigmatic House of Words. Each sculpture has a Celtic symbolism that you will discover with the help of our guide.
