Kuala Lumpur National Monument, Lake Gardens & National Museum Tour
Overview
We then take a leisurely stroll through the Lake Gardens (Perdana Botanical Gardens). Once tin mining pits, the grounds were later transformed into a green oasis, a reminder that Kuala Lumpur itself grew out of the tin boom of the 19th century. Shaded paths, tropical trees, and resident birdlife make this walk a refreshing blend of nature and heritage.
The journey concludes at the National Museum, Malaysia’s premier institution for preserving and presenting the nation’s heritage. Opened in 1963 on the site of the old Selangor Museum, the museum’s architecture blends traditional Malay palace design with modern elements.
