Overview
As a licensed local guide, I would love to show you the most beautiful corners of Koper on this fascinating walking tour. Together, we will explore the city’s must‑see highlights and uncover its rich Venetian heritage, lively atmosphere, and hidden viewpoints. We begin at Carpacciov trg, next to the Column of St. Justina, where I will introduce you to the Taverna, the Carpaccio House, and the elegant column dominating the square. As we walk through the old town, we will admire baroque and Gothic bourgeois houses and stop by the former Koper prison. Our route continues to the Belveder Bastion, where we reach the popular I <3 KP viewpoint — a perfect spot for memorable photos and a place from which the port of Koper can be beautifully seen. From there, we explore charming historic palaces before heading to the heart of the city: Titov trg, home to the Pretorian Palace, the Loggia, and the City Tower.
We then walk through Brolo Square and the vibrant Cevljarska Street, full of life and local character. The tour ends at Prešeren Square, by the historic Muda Gate and the elegant Da Ponte Fountain — a beautiful finale to our journey through Koper
