Overview
During the walking tour, you will visit important monuments including the fortress of Kuhna Ark, the impressive Muhammad Amin Khan Madrasa, Feruz Khan Madrasa, and Shergazi Khan Madrasa. You will also explore the sacred complex of Pahlavon Mahmud Mausoleum, admire the wooden columns of Juma Mosque, and discover the elegant residence of the Khivan rulers at Toshhovli Palace.

On arrival
The meeting point is in front of Ota Darvoza, the main entrance to the historic city of Ichan Kala in Khiva.
If you are staying inside Ichan Kala, simply walk to the main western gate (Ota Darvoza). If you are staying outside the old city, most hotels are within a 5–10 minute walk or a short taxi ride from the gate.
Your guide will be waiting directly in front of the entrance gate holding a sign with the tour name or Eastexplorer. Please arrive 10 minutes before the tour start time so the group can begin on schedule.

Things to note
Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before the tour starts.
Wear comfortable walking shoes, as the tour takes place on cobblestone streets inside Ichan Kala.
During summer, we recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and water, as temperatures in Khiva can be very hot.
Entrance tickets to historical monuments inside Ichan Kala are not included and can be purchased at the main gate near Ota Darvoza.
Please respect local traditions and dress modestly, especially when visiting religious sites such as Pahlavon Mahmud Mausoleum and Juma Mosque.
The tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately.
