The Historic District of Jerez: A Stroll Through History
Overview
Starting at the Alcázar, Jerez’s oldest monument, a stroll through the surrounding area will allow you to discover some of the most notable landmarks in Jerez’s historic district: the Tío Pepe wineries, the Church of San Miguel, the Plaza del Arenal, Calle Larga, the palaces on Plaza Rivero… Each of these places holds a little piece of the history of the city, Andalusia, and Spain—all without having to go far. Finally, we’ll arrive at the Jerez Cathedral, a magnificent building with outstanding artistic features both inside and out.
During the tour, I’ll guide you through the most important and iconic sites in downtown Jerez, as we discover the city’s history together through its monuments, streets, and squares. If you’re looking for a tour away from the large groups, this is the guide for you.
