Pottery making here is a family affair, passed down through the generations. Villagers make all sorts of useful pieces, such as cups, jars, bowls, pots, and the like. At Thanh Ha, pottery is more than just an industry; it’s a cherished tradition that has been alive for more than five centuries.

Unlike many pottery studios that use molds, the artisans here shape each piece by hand and foot pedal without using molds, giving every item a distinctive and unique touch. You’ll get the chance to witness this mesmerizing process firsthand. The villagers are very kind and friendly, so they love to share their heritage with the guests. You can also try new shapes and designs for fun.

- Join in pottery making to make your pottery product. You will learn how to make pottery with an instructor of a local craftsman. She will explain how to choose clay.

On arrival

The meeting point will be opposite Thanh Ha Pottery, and it will take 10 minutes to get from Hoi An old town to here.
