Overview

Discover Saigon’s complex wartime history on a powerful walking tour guided by a local storyteller. More than just monuments, this experience reveals the human side of events that shaped Vietnam in the 20th century.

We begin at the Thích Quảng Đức Monument, where the story of his 1963 self-immolation sparks reflection on faith and protest. Next, admire the Saigon Archbishop’s Residence, a striking landmark of colonial religion and architecture.

The tour continues inside the War Remnants Museum (ticket: 40,000 VND), where photos, artifacts, and exhibits offer an emotional account of the conflict. We’ll also stop by Lê Quý Đôn High School, the first colonial school that played a role in shaping Vietnamese identity.

Finally, step inside the Independence Palace (ticket: 76,000 VND) to explore underground war rooms, ornate halls, and the rooftop helipad where the Vietnam War came to its symbolic end.

Lasting around 4 hours, this free walking tour is tip-based, with small groups limited to 12 participants. Entry fees total about 116,000 VND (~$4.60). Join us for an unforgettable journey into Saigon’s past, blending history, memory, and culture.
