I live in Helsinki for 9 years, starting from my master's degree to my doctoral studies. I know the history of many popular tourist attractions in Helsinki and Espoo, and fun facts of Finland. Beyond the usual tourist spots, there are so many incredible, overlooked places—from secret beaches, panorama view of natural landscapes, to cozy neighborhood cafes and restaurants—just waiting to be discovered.
There are two parts of this trip. In the first part, I will take our to walk through many famous, worth-visiting tourist attractions and explaining their history and development. Along the way I will introduce some great places for you to hang out, like bars, restaurants, shops, and museums. For the second part, I will take you to some incredible, overlooked places that casual visitors rarely see. Whether it’s a secluded rocky shoreline or a forgotten historical site, these are the secret, magical spots that will make you love the area.
You will also receive my recommendation via E-mail about how to plan 2-4 day trips in other cities close to Helsinki, like Lohja, Kotkka, the archipelago regions, and Porvoo. Also, some amazing Chinese restaurants with different varieties.
