Overview
I have lived in Helsinki for 9 years, starting from my master's degree to my doctoral studies. I know the history of many popular tourist attractions in Helsinki and fun facts and daily life in Finland.
There are two parts of this trip. First, I will take you to walk through many worth-visiting tourist attractions and explain their history and development. Along the way, I will introduce some great places for you to hang out, like bars, restaurants, and museums.
Second, I will take you to some incredible, overlooked places that casual visitors rarely see, such as underground shelters, a presidential guard of honor, a place offering a panoramic view of Helsinki and the archipelago, and an old market for traditional Finnish food.
You will also receive my recommendation via email about food and places in Helsinki and how to plan 1-4 day trips in other cities close to Helsinki, like Lohja, the archipelago regions, and Porvoo.
Usually, the group size is around 8 people. So we can take avantage of the small size to be interactive and enjoyable during thie tour.
