Overview of the tour in Hamburg

We start our walk through Hamburg's history at Domplatz, the birthplace, and nursery of Hamburg, and learn how Hamburg got its name. We learn why the Domplatz is called "Cathedral Square" and the "Hamburg Cathedral" takes place in a completely different location.

We then continue our tour of Hamburg's Kontorhausviertel, the former center of Hamburg's merchants, and its brick Kontor.

We look at the prima ballerina of the Kontorhäuser under her pretty ballerina skirt.

We look critically at the founding documents of our port and discover one or two contradictions.

We walk on to the Speicherstadt, dive into the red gorges of brick and their stories, and find out what Westphalen has to do with Hamburg and why workers lived there in a castle.

We find out exactly what Schutenschupser and Ewerführer did and why there are coffee barons and Persians in Hamburg.

-We meet at the pink column, at the traffic light next to the intersection at Domplatz.
-I will write you on the day of the tour about what kind of clothes I wear.

-Please don't forget your umbrella and sunscreen (we never know what the weather in Hamburg has in store for us).
-The tour will take place in any weather.
-If not enough guests have registered (at least 4 people) I will cancel the tour 24 hours before.
