At the foot of Guangzhou's iconic Canton Tower lies a world where celebrities, legends, and historical figures come to life. WMKL (Wei Mu Kai La) Wax Work Museum is China's own wax museum brand – a homegrown alternative to international counterparts, with locations across China and Malaysia . The Guangzhou Tower branch, which opened in April 2019, is the brand's sixth themed museum worldwide .
Spanning approximately 2,000 square metres, the museum houses over 70 meticulously crafted wax figures arranged across ten themed zones . Start your journey in the Kung Fu Zone, where a lifelike Ip Man stands ready in a Wing Chun martial arts hall. In the Historical Zone, Dr. Sun Yat-sen and his wife Soong Ching-ling are recreated from their 1917 Guangzhou photograph. The Lingnan Culture Zone showcases local life through intricate scenes like traditional tea drinking and a Cantonese-style wedding .
