Overview
Chimelong Birds Park (formerly known as Guangzhou Crocodile Park, renamed in 2016) is a large-scale ecological theme park spanning over 2,000 mu (approximately 330 acres) in Panyu, Guangzhou.
The park is dedicated to wetland ecology and is home to tens of thousands of rare birds, including red-crowned cranes, flamingos, black swans, crowned cranes, and white spoonbills, alongside thousands of crocodiles. The park is divided into themed zones such as Crane Bay, the Amphibian and Reptile House, Swan Bay, Pelican Bay, and the Crocodile Island.
A highlight is the “Songs of a Hundred Birds” (Ba Niao Fei Ge) performance, where hundreds of rare birds take flight across the lake in a breathtaking display. Visitors can also enjoy feeding experiences with flamingos, hippos, and pelicans, and take a boat ride through the wetlands to observe birds up close.
