Alhambra & Generalife Gardens Tour in Granada
Overview
Visit the Alhambra skip-the-line and in a very small group!
The Alhambra is one of the world's most important monuments, a World Heritage Site, and a National Monument.
If you have the ticket mentioned above, we’ll visit the Alhambra’s Alcazaba, its oldest military section, which offers the best views of the city (the Albaicín, the Vega de Granada, and the Sierra Nevada).
You’ll have the opportunity to climb several towers in the Alcazaba—the highest one, with 69 steps, is for the brave! The tour also includes a visit to the Renaissance palace of Charles I, where I’ll explain its history and symbolism, along with all its fascinating details! Finally, in the gardens of the Generalife Palace (also a Nasrid palace), we’ll explore the sultans’ summer estate and enjoy the stunning gardens, orchards, and fountains that flow continuously. The views of the entire Alhambra complex and the Albaicín are spectacular.
Admission tickets are not included in the price of 20 euros per person. This is solely for the guide service (on the day of the tour, you must bring your printed, pre-purchased ticket and a physical ID or passport).
Once you book, you’ll receive further instructions :)

On arrival
I will be 15 minutes before the start of the tour at the Puerta de la Justicia of the Alhambra, you can access it by climbing the slope of Gómerez from the center (if you are in good enough physical shape, it is about 15 minutes up a steep slope to our meeting point), or you can quickly take a red minibus in the Plaza Isabel la Católica, as they pass frequently and you arrive in a few minutes to the monument. If the minibus leaves you in front of the restaurant Las Mimbres, near the ticket office, you will have to go straight down to the meeting point where I will be waiting, at the great door of justice.
(It's only a few minutes walk down).
Things to note
Please be at the meeting point 10-15 minutes before the start of our tour.
- Each visitor must carry an original passport or ID card, never a photo!
Each person must bring their own entrance ticket, including children. Adults carrying children without ID must bring a family book.
- Depending on the number of people in the group, an audio guide must be used according to ALHAMBRA REGULATIONS.
(For example, from 2 to 4 members, the guide does not need to rent audio guides). Increasing the number of participants, yes.
The cost is separate for the client, it usually costs 2 to 3 € per person to rent each audio guide and must be paid to the guide who will present a proof of payment.
This way they will be able to access the monument with the group.
- Comfortable shoes.
- Do not carry a selfie stick for photos.
- It is forbidden to touch the monument, lean on columns, pluck flowers or eat.
- There is a specific area for eating, but in most of the monument it is forbidden to eat or drink coffee, soft drinks, etc.
