From the conquest of the Castilians and their wars with the Guanches, through the great adventure of Christopher Columbus and his journey to America, the pirate attacks on the city and the hard resistance of its citizens; and, of course, the history of Puerto de la Luz, which has marked the cheerful and open character of the citizens of such a wonderful city and its economic development in the last century.

We have prepared a very special route for you. In it, we will delve into the past of the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and its relationship with the sea.

The crisis caused by the coronavirus has forced all businesses to transform their products and services in order to offer the highest levels of safety, responsibility and quality to their customers.

Therefore, in accordance with state and regional regulations, at Arkeo Tour® we have implemented 6 essential and mandatory measures in all our activities:

1) Our guided tours are carried out only with small groups (maximum 10 people including the guide). In this way we achieve a better organization and management of the group, and a separation of at least 2 meters between each person.

2) Our itineraries have been designed to avoid possible crowds and avoid small spaces. In addition, they are one-way routes to avoid crossing paths with other groups. Our guides coordinate live to share information on less crowded itineraries.

3) All our guides have been trained in the prevention of health risks and the fight against the coronavirus. The person in charge of the guides and the person in charge of customer service make up the Arkeo Tour® risk management committee and carry out daily monitoring of the security measures.

4) In all our guided tours we use voice transmission and amplification equipment. In this way we guarantee the highest quality in the explanations of the guide and we can maintain the safety distance between the members of the group.

5) Our team uses gloves and masks in all our activities and daily temperature control of each of the guides is carried out. Likewise, we will have hydroalcoholic gel for the use of all our users.

6) We have digitized the entire reservation service, thus avoiding the transfer of documents between people. The reservation confirmation can be downloaded from any mobile phone to show the guide at the beginning of the visit. The sending of brochures and information is now also done completely electronically.
