Hönö Island Escape: West Coast Nature & Culture
Overview
We begin with a comfortable pickup in Gothenburg by private car (ideal for private groups of up to 4 people). From the coast, we board the ferry together to take our car directly across the sea to Hönö Island.
What we will explore:
- Klåva Lighthouse: Visit this landmark, take in sweeping sea views, and discover the island's rich maritime history and fishing culture.
- Ersdalen Nature Reserve: Hike through peaceful coastal forests that open out onto dramatic, smooth granite cliffs and hidden beaches.
- Archipelago Coastline: Experience the raw beauty of the Bohuslän coast, observe the unique rock geology, and enjoy unobstructed views over the open ocean.
All logistics, including private car transport and ferry crossings, are fully handled for your group. Please make sure to wear sturdy, comfortable walking shoes suitable for rocky terrain, and bring your best smile and positive energy!

Things to note
Group Pricing: The price listed is a flat rate for your entire private group (up to 4 people).
Pick-up Logistics: Please provide your exact pick-up address (hotel or central Gothenburg location) when booking. We will start and end our day right from your door!
Dress for the Archipelago: The Swedish West Coast weather can change quickly and is often windy. Please bring a windproof or waterproof jacket.
Footwear is Crucial: We will be exploring the Ersdalen nature reserve and walking directly on smooth granite cliffs. Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes or sneakers with good grip are strictly required (no high heels or sandals).
Food and Fika: A traditional Swedish fika (coffee/tea and a sweet treat) on the rocks is included. For our main meal, we will stop at the charming Hönö Klåva harbor where you will have the opportunity to purchase a high-quality lunch (fresh local seafood or other options) at a local restaurant.
Accessibility: Because we will be hiking over uneven and rocky natural terrain, this tour requires a moderate level of mobility and is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs, walkers, or strollers.
Weather Policy: The tour runs in most weather conditions, as the raw nature of the coast is beautiful even in the rain! In the event of severe or unsafe weather, we will reschedule or offer a full refund.
