Gjirokaster Free Tour
Overview
We'll pass by the traditional streets of the city in the area where are located the most beautiful houses of Gjirokaster style, the famous 300 years old Skenduli Family House, the former home of dictator Enver Hoxha (Ethnographic Museum), and the birthplace of Albania’s most renowned writer, Ismail Kadare.We also walk through the castle surroundings and the tour ends near there but we don’t enter the castle itself, as there's an entrance fee. This way, you can decide whether to visit it on your own and spent as much time as you want there if you go. Along the way, we’ll stop at the best panoramic viewpoints where you’ll have the chance to enjoy and capture breathtaking views of the city as well. Hello everyone!
Gjirokaster is with cobblestone streets so would recommend not wearing flip flops.
In case temperatures are high a cap or hat is recommended. The tour is designed to stop on shades but just to be more comfortable.
You can bring water but even if you forget there are shops on why to buy.

How can the tour be free?
Our concept is simple — there is no set price. Instead, you tip your guide at the end of the tour whatever amount feels right to you. Typically, guests give between $10 to €50, depending on their satisfaction and budget.
Most guides accept cash or card payments, or you can do it via our app.
Cancellation policy
You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
