Join our walking tour through Gjirokastra, Albania’s hilltop fairytale, a place where time stands still and so might you (on the steeper parts).
We begin at Çerçiz Topulli Square, the city’s buzzing heart. From there, we wander up (and up, and up) through the Old Bazaar, a winding trail of cobbled lanes, charming shops, and wooden balconies that lean like they're eavesdropping. We pause at the Obelisk, near the old school that once sparked bright Albanian minds, and a perfect photo spot if you’ve still got breath left (a sprinkle of asthma is included free of charge).
Along the way, we sneak through a few hidden corners most tourists miss, shh, it’s part of the charm. We admire the grand Skenduli House (from outside, no crashing elegant 17th-century tea parties), then finish at the Castle, with epic views, old cannons, and a bonus spy plane.
