We take you off the beaten track to show you more highlights and hidden gems of our gorgeous city. After 1.5 hours you will leave our fascinating tour with a deeper understanding of Ghent.

How come it is free?
We believe that anyone can enjoy our tours, no matter the budget. Therefore, we offer free tours on a tips-basis, which guarantees that you receive an excellent overview of the city and at the end of the tour you can tip your guide as much you think the tour is worth.

Our Free Walking Tours are designed for individuals and small groups. Are you traveling in a group bigger than 5 people? Please contact us via email for possible options.

On arrival

The tour starts in front of Hostel Uppelink, Sint-Michielsplein 21, 9000 Gent. Look out for the red umbrella!

Things to note

Corona-19 update:
Our guest safety is #1 priority on our tours. Therefore, all our guides are required to wear face screens during the tour. There are also a set of measures applying to our tours:
✓ Please wear a face mask or a face covering during the tour
✓ Keep your distance (1.5 meter) from people out of your circle
✓ Stay at home if you or anyone in your household has suspicious symptoms (higher temperature, coughing, sneezing, etc)
✓ Physical contact is not allowed
✓ Wash your hands and use sanitizer regularly

• If you can no longer attend our tour, please cancel it via the link in your confirmation email, so we can open up more spaces for other guests.
• Please note that on rare occasions, a tour might be canceled due to extreme weather or low attendance (less than 4 people on the tour).

Please note that due to the low number of bookings, our guides are only present at the meeting point in case of a reservation. If you are unable to make the tour, please let us know, so you don't make us wait for you.

Free Cancellation

You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
