Overview
This is the compact version of the normally two-hour tour I propose.
We will meet next to the Georgsbrunnen at Cathedral Square. Throughout our tour, I will tell you about the most interesting and important historical events, the town’s transition to the bicycle city we see today, and the regional geology by taking a closer look at the building stones of the Minster and the paved streets, as well as the town’s mining past.
The tour ends at the Swabian Gate. For those who are still motivated, however, we'll 25 minutes to the tour and head towards the Schlossberg, where we'll enjoy a beautiful view over the Rhine Valley. There, you’ll gain an understanding of the Earth’s processes in the region that shaped the landscape we see today.
