Overview
This is the slightly more compact version of the normally two-hour tour I propose.
We will meet next to the Georgsbrunnen at Cathedral Square. Throughout our tour, I will tell you about the most interesting and important historical events, the town’s transition to the bicycle city we see today, and the regional geology by taking a closer look at the building stones of the Minster and the paved streets, as well as the town’s mining past.
The tour ends near the Schlossberg, where we'll enjoy a beautiful view over the Rhine Valley. There, you’ll gain an understanding of the Earth’s processes in the region that shaped the landscape we see today.
