Overview

Discover the world's highest concentration of crater lakes in this unforgettable experience!

Start at Lake Nkuruba, home to over four monkey species and the oldest of the 52 crater lakes around the Mountains of the Moon. Continue to the Ndali-Kasenda crater lakes, where Lake Nyinambuga, featured on Uganda’s 20,000 shilling banknote, stands out for its beauty.

Optionally, visit a local vanilla farm to learn about the process from planting to drying. Purchasing vanilla is encouraged; otherwise, a small fee applies.

Beyond the lakes, explore local villages, banana plantations, and the bustling farmers' market (held on Mondays and Thursdays).

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or at Lake Nkuruba Nature Reserve. The 3–4-hour tour includes the option of a bodaboda ride if needed.

What to bring: Trekking boots, sunscreen, rain jacket, hat

A certain level of fitness is required.
