Overview

Discover a fascinating side of Edinburgh on this walking tour that combines history, nature and some of the best views in the city, ending at the emblematic Calton Hill, where, with a bit of luck, we can enjoy a wonderful sunset over the Scottish capital.

The route starts next to the Scott Monument, one of the city's most iconic landmarks, and then heads towards Holyrood Palace, the official residence of the British monarchy in Scotland, passing the modern Scottish Parliament building.

Along the way, we'll visit the tranquil Dunbar's Close Garden, a space inspired by 17th-century gardens, before taking in the impressive surroundings of Arthur's Seat and Holyrood Park, one of Edinburgh's most striking natural landscapes.

The tour ends at Calton Hill, one of the city's most iconic sites, known for its historic monuments and unforgettable panoramic views over Edinburgh.
