Feel the true essence of Scotland with this tour through the locations of the Outlander series. We will depart from the Royal Mile to Blackness Castle, the "ship that never sailed", known as Fort William in the fiction. We will continue to Midhope Castle to see the mythical facade of Lallybroch, home of Jamie Fraser.
The day continues at Linlithgow Palace, birthplace of Mary Stuart and setting of Wentworth Prison. After admiring its lakeside silhouette, we will head to Doune. You will have time for lunch and visit its medieval castle, famous for being Leoch Castle in the series (and scene of Monty Python or Game of Thrones).
In the afternoon, we will stroll through Culross, a 17th century village that recreates the town of Cranesmuir, with its cobbled streets and gardens where Claire collected plants. The last stop will be Falkland, a charming Renaissance village in Fife, whose exteriors will also be recognizable to fans of the saga. Whether or not you are a fan of Diana Gabaldon, you will enjoy an unparalleled historical heritage.
