Overview of the tour in Dresden

We walk from the Schlossplatz through the historic Old Town with its sights, such as the Frauenkirche, the Zwinger, or the Semper Opera. I will tell you something about the history of Dresden the expansion of the residential city under August the Strong, their subsequent heyday, the destruction in World War II, and the reconstruction in GDR times and after the reunification.

The city tour is perfect for those who are in Dresden for the first time and want to get an overview of the architecture and history of Dresden.

I am also happy to give tips on other highlights in Dresden and the surrounding area that can be found outside the Old Town.

On arrival

From the main station, simply walk along Prager Straße in the direction of Altmarkt and then continue straight on in the direction of the Elbe. Before the Elbe bridge is then the Schlossplatz. If you come by streetcar, then take lines 4, 8, or 9 to Theaterplatz. From there the Schlossplatz is directly behind the Hofkirche.
