Walking Tour of the Historic Center & the Jesuit Quarter
Overview
On this tour of the Historic Center, we’ll explore the places where the city was founded and grew, learning about its colonial, religious, political, and academic past.
We’ll start at Plaza San Martín, the heart of the historic district. Then we’ll visit the Cabildo de Córdoba, the former center of colonial political power and now the City Museum. We’ll continue on to the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, one of the country’s most important and oldest churches.
The tour will continue through the Jesuit Block, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we’ll learn about the Jesuits’ legacy, the history of the National University of Córdoba, and the Church of the Society of Jesus.
During the walk, we’ll share stories, anecdotes, and insights into the city’s heritage to help you understand why Córdoba is one of Argentina’s most important cities.
Ideal for first-time visitors or for rediscovering the city through a local’s eyes.
