Minho Free Walking Tours owes its name to the region where it operates: Minho, the North West of Portugal. At the moment, we have tours available in the cities of Braga and Guimarães, and we only work with local guides. In that, we are the only ones who work like this. We love our region and our people!

We are also the first in the city of Braga. This company started in 2016 with 2 History teachers, and now we have a cooperative of guides, so we also do personalized tours and tours for travel agencies. We have resident professionals in our team who are linked to different areas of knowledge, such as history, urbanism, heritage, and archaeology.

“No guide showed up”

We booked the tour and I received the confirmation for it. However, when we arrived to the meeting point nobody was there. We waited but nobody showed up. I tried to contact the guide through the website but no reply. I think that customers should be notified if anything changes, even last minute. Otherwise it is a disservice and a waste of time for people, do not recommend

“No show ”

We booked the Braga Tour for 11am at start point porta da arco nova however the guide did not show and we , along with two others , waited until 11.13 ????????‍♀️ Obviously emergencies happen but surely a stand in guide wasn’t an impossible alternative … on the other hand we did your Guimarães tour with Joaquim on the Saturday and that was excellent .

“Excellent tour of Braga”

We had a walking tour with Jose today and we were the only tourists which made it feel like a private tour! He was very interesting and full of local knowledge, history and architecture. Braga is so easy to walk around and we were pointed towards a great local restaurant which we prefer, not touristy and full of locals serving delicious food and wine at very reasonable prices!! Highly recommend Jose as a guide 10 out of 10
