Minho Free Walking Tours owes its name to the region where it operates: Minho, the North West of Portugal. At the moment, we have tours available in the cities of Braga and Guimarães, and we only work with local guides. In that, we are the only ones who work like this. We love our region and our people!

We are also the first in the city of Braga. This company started in 2016 with 2 History teachers, and now we have a cooperative of guides, so we also do personalized tours and tours for travel agencies. We have resident professionals in our team who are linked to different areas of knowledge, such as history, urbanism, heritage, and archaeology.

“Great tour in Braga”

We had a really nice tour of Braga with Nicolas. We learned alot about the city history with a central focus on the influence of the catholic church. After the visit we knew our way around the historic center and many areas and structures to revisit later and learn more about the history.

“A perfect city tour with Miguel! ”

We thoroughly enjoyed our city tour with Miguel today. He was able to answer every question we had, knew all the local legends, and possessed extensive historical as well as up-to-date knowledge about the city. You simply couldn’t ask for a better insight into such a beautiful city as Braga. What stood out most was his enthusiasm and passion for sharing the city’s history and culture, which made the tour both informative and entertaining.
