Starting at the historic Mondego riverbank at Largo da Portagem, we’ll climb from the alleys of the Baixa—passing Rua Ferreira Borges, Praça do Comércio, and the Mosteiro de Santa Cruz—through the medieval Arco de Almedina and up the Quebra-Costas steps. After taking in the fortress-like Sé Velha, the Sé Nova, and the underground Criptopórtico, we’ll reach the hilltop crown of our University at Paço das Escolas, before concluding past Praça D. Dinis, the Escadas Monumentais, the ancient Aqueduto, and the lush Jardim Botânico.
