Overview

Dive deep into the story of two of the world’s most famous cruise ships: the Titanic and the Lusitania, and their close historic connections to this place.
Little by little, we will get closer to the highest place in town to have a look in Saint Colman’s Cathedral, an impressive building representative of the French Neo-Gothic style which features the largest carillon of the isles. On the way, visit one of the most photographed places in Ireland: West View, where we find the picturesque 19th-century houses of the Deck of Cards. Stop at different lookouts with beautiful panoramic views of Cobh.

How do I get there?

Public transport
By train: the best way to get to Cobh is by train; you get a chance to admire the views of Cobh Harbour. On weekdays, there is a departure to Cobh from Cork’s Kent Station (city centre) each 30 minutes. On Sundays and Bank holidays, departures are programmed each 60 minutes. Our meeting point is located only 1 minute walk from Cobh’s Train Station; once you leave the station, simply walk to the right. The entrance to Cobh Heritage Centre will be right around the corner.
Bus: from Cork’s city centre, Route 200 of Cobh Connect has departures every hour from St Patrick’s Quay. The closest bus stop is Park Lane, Lake Road (11-minute walk to meeting point)

Cruise ships
The ships dock very close to our meeting point, only a few meters from Annie Moore’s Statue. The statue is very easy to spot and across from Cobh Heritage Centre. Please note that if your ship leaves early the tour will be adjusted accordingly.
