Join me for a 2-hour walking tour through Yulin Road, one of Chengdu’s most authentic and vibrant neighborhoods. Here, everyday street life unfolds around traditional teahouses, local markets, retro noodle shops, independent bookstores, and tree-lined lanes filled with the sounds of mahjong and friendly conversation.
We’ll explore the area at an easygoing pace and try a few classic Sichuan snacks while discovering the relaxed rhythm of this creative local community. Along the way, I’ll share stories about Yulin’s literary past and explain why this neighborhood is such a favorite among locals. We’ll also stop at a wet market to experience how Chengdu residents shop, choose ingredients, and negotiate prices.
Our walk finishes in a small neighborhood park, where you can see elderly locals dancing, playing cards, and enjoying their afternoon – a lovely glimpse into Chengdu’s famous “slow life.” This experience is perfect for culture lovers and photography enthusiasts.

Meeting point: Exit E of Nijiaqiao Metro Station. Take Metro Line 1 or Line 8 to Nijiaqiao Station, then follow the signs to Exit E. I'll be waiting at the exit, carrying a purple backpack. Please arrive 5–10 minutes early. If you get lost, feel free to message me.
