One Day Tour of Dujiangyan and Panda Paradise
Overview
Hotel pickup within Chengdu’s 3rd Ring Road. Driver and guide confirm details 20:00–22:00 the day before. Be ready on time; self-arrival at the meeting point by 06:00 is possible.
Stop 1: Dujiangyan Panda Valley
Located in Qingchengshan Town, this panda base, sponsored by the Hong Kong SAR Government, focuses on education, research, and conservation. Surrounded by bamboo forests, it allows visitors to observe pandas in a natural environment and learn about protection efforts.
Stop 2: Dujiangyan Ancient Town & Shadow Play
Explore the ancient town and enjoy a UNESCO-listed shadow play. With puppetry, 3D lighting, and stage effects, it tells Li Bing’s water management story and highlights Douxi Platform and Erwang Temple.
Stop 3: Dujiangyan Irrigation System
Built in 227 BC by Li Bing, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the oldest functioning irrigation project. See Fish Mouth Weir, Flying Sand Weir, Bottle-Neck Channel, Anlan Bridge, and Erwang Temple. Visit ~90 minutes.
End of Tour
Return to Chengdu, disband at Jinsha Site Museum ~18:30.

On arrival
Air-conditioned shuttle buses will pick up tourists within the 3rd Ring Road of Chengdu and take them to the assembly point. Please prepare in advance according to the pick-up time. The shuttle bus drivers and tour guides will contact tourists via phone or SMS to inform them of pick-up details between 20:00 and 22:00 the night before departure. Please keep your mobile phone accessible. (The pick-up time is determined by the driver based on the route. Please arrive at the pick-up point on time. Thank you for your understanding.)Tourists traveling independently to the assembly point should arrive by 6:00.
Things to note
Please provide your passport information (full name, passport number, date of birth, and gender) in advance to complete the reservation.
All visitors are required to go through airport-style security checks. Please do not bring large luggage, camera tripods or drones.
Please ensure that all travellers carry valid ID documents/passports on the travel day. We will collect the ID documents of other travellers on site to issue e-tickets.
Please leave your email address and phone number, and download WeChat/Alipay in advance so that your guide or coordinator can contact you beforehand. They do use WhatsApp or iMessage, but these applications may sometimes be offline here.
