Step into People’s Park and watch everyday Chengdu unfold. Locals come here to slow down, socialize and enjoy their free time — sipping tea, listening to music, exercising, dancing, playing games and simply spending time together.
At the famous “matchmaking corner,” parents look for potential partners for their adult children.
These ordinary scenes reveal Chengdu’s famous slow‑paced lifestyle and strong sense of community.
We’ll also touch on local snacks and Sichuan food culture along the way.
- Kuanzhai Alley - A Glimpse of Old Chengdu
We’ll wander through Kuanzhai Alley, a historic neighborhood of traditional‑style streets and courtyards, and explore the stories and changes behind this iconic part of Chengdu.

On arrival
Find me: Gather right by the green dragon sculpture at Tianfu Square. Exit Metro Line 1 (EXIT A or B) and you are directly at the sunken square where it stands. You can see me holding a Chinese folding fan.
Things to note
Group Combination Notice: On very few occasions, we may combine groups when multiple bookings happen for the same time slot. This might be a lovely little bonus — a nice chance to meet new friends and lower the average cost per person.
Comfort: Please wear comfortable shoes, as we’ll explore the city on foot (about 5km).
Local Treats (optional): We’ll pass by local snack stalls and the famous teahouse. You’re welcome to try them on your own — it’s totally optional and at your own expense.
