We will walk across ancient extinct craters and spectacular lunar landscapes. Along the way I will explain how Etna was born, how it has changed through the centuries, and how to read the volcanic landscape like a geologist.
Exploration of a lava cave
We will enter a fascinating lava cave formed by flowing magma. With helmets and lights, we will descend safely inside the volcano while I explain how these tunnels form and share stories of Etna’s most memorable eruptions.
Tasting of typical local products
We will finish with a tasting of Etnean specialties such as local honey, wines, and traditional products, directly from local producers.

This tour is designed for those who have their own vehicle. However, I can offer a free ride for up to 4 people.
First appointment place in Catania 8.30 a.m.: I will meet you in Stock Exchange Square, in front of the BPER bank ATM.
Second appointment place on Etna 9.45 a.m.: bar restaurant Crateri Silvestri, Piazzale Crateri Silvestri, 95030 Nicolosi CT
To fully enjoy the experience, trekking shoes are recommended. If you don't have any, we have a limited number of pairs available for lending.
