Guided Tour of the Carmona Necropolis
Overview
We’ll begin by taking in the landscape that made Carmona a strategic stronghold for centuries, and then explore mausoleums, rock-cut tombs, and funerary monuments dating back more than 2,000 years. Throughout the tour, we’ll discover burial rituals, Roman beliefs, and the stories behind such unique sites as the Elephant Tomb and the monumental Tomb of Servilia. We’ll also visit the museum on the archaeological site itself to see the most representative artifacts found there.

Conjunto Arqueológico de Carmona (Avenida Jorge Bonsor 9, Carmona)
On arrival
We’ll meet 10 minutes before the guided tour begins at the entrance to the Carmona Necropolis Archaeological Site (Av. Jorge Bonsor, 9, Carmona). The guide will be waiting with a black flag bearing the Ciudad Secreta Tours logo.
Things to note
- Admission to the site is free for citizens of European Union member countries.
- Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes early. The tour will begin promptly.
- Citizens of non-EU countries must pay 1.5 euros at the site’s ticket office.
- Since much of the site is outdoors, please bring a hat, sunscreen, and water in the summer; and warm or waterproof clothing in the winter.
- The tour may be rescheduled in the event of adverse or extreme weather conditions.
